The children’s most recent interest has been Bridges after reading the book about Flo and Flip the Inchcolm seals and recognising the the forth rail bridge on the cover. Today a group of children went out in the minibus to go over the forth road bridge and to the children and teachers excitement we even found the seal statue whilst down at Souths queens ferry. It was a brilliant trip for the children to explore what transport goes over and under bridges as well as seeing a book come to life. A huge thank you to Emma’s auntie Sheena who bought this book for the children and inspiring our children to learn about bridges as well as learning the important message of recycling that comes from the book. πŸŒ‰β™»οΈβ€οΈ

We are looking to support the Treats for troops on tour this Christmas. This is to gather items to create festive parcels for the many troops who will be away from their loved ones this Christmas. I am sure all our parents will agree with us that our troops do an amazing job and sacrifice time away from family and friends which must be extremely difficult especially over the festive period. We would like to bring a bit of joy to them on Christmas Day and are looking for the support of all our lovely families, their friends and families to help make that happen. Below is a list of items that will help make that difference. the deadline for the items to be handed into the nursery will be Friday 23rd November this will ensure the items can be passed on to the organisation. #Lets put a smile on our troops faces at ChristmasπŸŽ…πŸŽ„.

The Early Learners have been exploring shadows and where they come from. After making some shadow pictures this morning they came up with a great idea to put on a shadow puppet show of our current favourite book β€˜The Gruffalo’s Child’! Sarah read the story as Kirsty moved the puppets she created for the children to enjoy! They then had a turn of their own using their fantastic role play skill!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽπŸ˜€
