Welcome to Eskbank

Sarah Mundey, the Nursery Manager and Emma Edwards, the Early Years Coordinator and our dedicated and highly qualified team ensure that every day is fun, interesting and rewarding at Eskbank Nursery.

Our largest nursery, opened in 2000, is set in a large garden area with two large trees dominate the fantastic outdoor areas and help to create a natural feel to the nursery and woodland at the back. In 2001 we expanded the nursery, with four purpose built rooms. The nursery has been fully transformed into the beautiful nursery it is today. The nursery expanded again in December 2022, with a new 51 place playroom called the Adventure room.  This is for 3- 5 year old's.

The nursery is in a quiet residential location, great for those who live locally Eskbank and Dalkeith area. We are situated opposite Dalkeith Police station, and within walking distance to Edinburgh college- Eskbank campus and Eskbank train station with the Borders rail link. We are on the following Lothian bus routes-3,39,40 and 49 or First bus number 95.

We offer outstanding childcare for children aged from 3 months to 5 years, with  (Change 124 to 118) registered childcare places. We are open  (Change 7.00 to 7.30am) – 6pm, Monday to Friday. 

Finally Katrina Weir our Operational Director visits all nurseries weekly, supporting nurseries with training and developing their teams, mentoring all Managers with day- to - day issues and sharing good practice.
