Eskbank Nursery Facilities
Eskbank nursery is exceptionally bright and airy inside with fantastic facilities, with quiet sleep areas and indoor and out spaces. The nursery has ample parking to ease drop-off and pick-up times for parents. The nursery has always aiming to achieve the highest possible grades from Care inspectorate and we received all good’s in our last inspection, which we credit to our fantastic team.
Our playrooms include:
- A Baby/ Toddler room – aged 6 months to 15months approximately
- A Junior room – aged 15 months – 2 years old
- Early Learner room – aged 2 – 3 years old

There are 3 gardens:
Garden 1: For under 2 years
Garden 2: Main garden for over 2 years which has a large sand area, climbing frame for risky play, and large grass area for lots of running/ ball games/ group games
Garden 3: For Adventure room children to enable them to have indoor outdoor play
We are extremely lucky to have a large nursery garden.
The garden is the heart of Pinocchio’s Eskbank and the children love to take part in all the experiences. The garden hosts a tennis court, tepee, numeracy and literacy areas, mud kitchen, road, construction area, block play, water and sand. The children use a wide selection of loose parts resources which allow them to problem solve, work as a team, become successful learners and take part in risky play.
Our children and staff visit our local care home – Archview Care Home. This is hugely beneficial for the children and the residents, new relationships are formed between the young and older people.
The children are always so excited to visit their new friends and take part in lots of different experiences such as painting, gluing, reading books, singing and ball games. This not only helps to develop the children’s creativity, communication, literacy, fine and gross motor skills but also the residents.
Pinocchio's Eskbank expanded their provision for 3-5 year old's in December 2022.
The new playroom called the Adventure room provides flexible early years provision for children age 3-5 years old.
