We offer the following session bookings:

• Morning sessions - 7.30am to 1.00pm (Penicuik opens at 7.15 AM) (Eskbank & Lasswade opens 7am – 7.30am with limited spaces available – must be booked with the nursery manager)
• Afternoon sessions - 1.00pm to 6.00pm
• Full days - 7.30am to 6.00pm

* You are able to drop your child off or collect them at any time within your booked sessions. 

* To enable your child to benefit fully from Pinocchio's nursery environment, a minimum of two sessions per week is required.

* Extra sessions may be available on request.

The nursery is open for 50 weeks of the year. We do not charge for the 10 days we are closed. 

All monthly invoices are calculated by the number of sessions booked that month, calendar monthly billing can vary month to month.

*If a child is off sick or on holiday, fees are still payable, as holding place and staffing has already been arranged.

For all children attending Pinocchio's a non-refundable registration fee is payable for retention of a place. The registration fee not only secures the nursery place but also includes a two hour settling in session at the nursery.

• Full-time fee: £75.00
• Part-time fee: £50.00
• Not applicable if fully funded place

10% discount for full-time children or when you have two or more children attending Pinocchio's (discount will apply to eldest child's fees). 

10% discount off families for parents that work for the emergency services or armed forces at Eskbank, Gilmerton, Lasswade and Penicuik nurseries only.

10% discount is the maximum discount any one child can receive.

All our nurseries offer children between 3-5 years the government grant funded 1140 hours per year placements 30 hours per week), term time. For example Wednesday 8-6pm, Thursday 8-6pm and Friday 8-6pm.

Free fully grant funded placements for 2 year old's (Eligible two's (Edinburgh Council or Good to be Two's, Midlothian council) are available in all our nurseries. For example: 3 days from 8am – 6pm 

 Please ask for more details from the Nursery Manager.

Fees are due for payment on the 1st of every month. Payment methods include direct banking, standing order, card payments (online and in person), tax free childcare and childcare vouchers.

We accept all types of childcare vouchers. If you are paying by childcare vouchers they should reach us by the 15th of the month, if they are paid later they are credited to your account for the following month’s fees.
